On Monday morning two boys of the ages 7 and 5 were found dead after a African Rock Python had strangled them in their sleep at a friends sleepover. They had a gone to a friends house who's father owned the snake (Which was later revealed that he didn't own a permit for the snake). The snake had escaped from it's enclosure from the pet shop on the first story, The snake had founds it way out of it's enclosure and gone through the air vents to the living room were the boys slept.
The father and owner of the pet shop went to check on the boys at around 6am on the Monday morning when he turned on the lights to the horrific scene.

This is not the first time an event like this has happened. There have been many cases where pythons being kept as house hold pets have killed or injured small children and even adults. How many children's lives will have to be taken for people to realize Pythons are not meant to be pets? Pythons are wild animals and have instincts to attack small creatures that could be prey or a threat. They kill by constriction, squeezing their prey to death — not hard
enough to break bones but just enough to stop the victim's breathing and
blood circulation.
Pythons should not be kept as pets and should be left in their environments and not used as a household pet.
I support your opinion! I think this is horrific to see on the news to many people dying when they could of been saved. Very interesting to read as well! :)
